My wife and I went for a hike today at Providence Canyon State Park in Lumpkin, GA. We had a great time. We were trying out our new packs from Gregory. I have the Baltoro 75 and she was carrying the Deva 70. Despite just being out for a short hike, we went ahead and added gear as if we would be hitting the trail for awhile. The trail was fairly flat and well maintained but there were some rather steep sections that gave us a mild challenge with the additional weight. The packs performed very well. There are a few modifications we will be making but that is why we took the trip! We also wanted to get in a little conditioning as we are primarily day hikers and not used to the added weight. However, these packs really made the load MUCH easier to shoulder. All in all a great day with some great scenery and a great hiking partner. Can’t wait for our next adventure!
